Overview

The HobbyZone Carbon Cub S2 1.3m RTF Basic offers a capable, versatile entry into scale RC flight. Built as a refined trainer, it borrows the spirit of the iconic Carbon Cub and translates that feel into a model that’s approachable for pilots at any skill level.

With a scale silhouette and forgiving handling, this model invites you to enjoy the experience of a larger aircraft while staying manageable on the sticks. It’s designed to be a reliable platform you can grow with as your piloting confidence expands.

Safe, learner-friendly flight with SAFE technology

Exclusive SAFE technology helps prevent crashes and smooths the learning curve. Expect gentler takeoffs, steadier transitions, and steadier landings, so you can focus on mastering inputs and timing rather than fighting the controls.

Progress through skill levels with three flight modes

Beginner, Intermediate and Experienced modes are accessible with a simple switch. Start with forgiving handling and progress to more responsive control as you gain experience and comfort in the air.

Everything you need to fly, with a small exception

This RTF Basic kit includes most essentials for flight and features a Spektrum DXS transmitter with DSMX 2.4 GHz for reliable control. To complete your setup, you will need a compatible LiPo battery and a charger sold separately.

Reliable control and real-world suitability

The DSMX radio pairing delivers dependable, low-interference control across common flying spaces. The 1.3-meter wingspan provides a tangible scale presence while remaining approachable for hobbyists transitioning from trainer aircraft.
