Bring Thomas & Friends adventures to life with Donald

Preschoolers can relive favorite moments from the All Engines Go! series as they race Donald, the number 9 engine, down the track. This battery-powered engine comes with a coal cargo car, adding a touch of realism to pretend plays, whether framing a quick crossing or a long haul through a bustling yard.

Key features at a glance

  • Motorized action: flip the switch on top to set Donald in motion and watch him zoom along the rails.
  • Cargo car included: Donald pulls a coal car, inviting kids to imagine loading and transporting pretend cargo.
  • Connector compatibility: the motorized engine includes plastic connectors to attach to other Thomas & Friends trains, vehicles, cargo cars, or tenders (additional pieces sold separately).
  • Track compatibility: designed to fit most Thomas & Friends track systems (except wood), so it can blend into existing setups (track sets sold separately).
  • Collect them all: expand your railway world with additional characters and cars.

What kids gain from playing

  • Fine motor development: simple actions like flipping the switch and snapping connectors support manual dexterity.
  • Storytelling skills: kids can create rapid-fire mini-adventures, bridging episodes from the show to their own ideas.
  • Colorful, tactile play: the engine's bright colors and decorations invite repeat play sessions.

Practical details you’ll want to know

  • Requires 2 AAA batteries (not included).
  • Colors and decorations may vary by release, so each Donald looks a little different from the last.
  • Compatible with most Thomas & Friends track sets, with the exception of wood track.

Designed for growing imaginations
