Meet Tamagotchi Original - Rainbow

Revisit a beloved digital pet from 1997, now refreshed with a vibrant rainbow shell and an updated logo. This edition preserves the core charm of the original programming while introducing a modern look that feels both nostalgic and contemporary. The compact device invites quick, pocketable play any time you have a moment to spare.

What you can do with Tamagotchi Original

  • Feed your Tamagotchi to help it stay energized and content throughout the day.
  • Turn lights on and off to manage its daily routine and mood shifts.
  • Play, interact, and monitor its needs in real time for a responsive pet experience.
  • Give medicine when it’s under the weather and clean up after it uses the bathroom.
  • Discipline its behavior when needed, keeping care moments balanced and engaging.

Among the standout features is the Character game, a playful challenge that asks you to guess which way your Tamagotchi will move next. This adds a layer of anticipation to the routine you already perform, turning each session into a tiny decision-making moment with a dash of unpredictability.

Raising from egg to adult

Your care choices influence which Adult Tamagotchi you’ll meet. From egg to child to adult, the path you take shapes one of seven possible outcomes, turning care into a gentle, exploratory journey rather than a fixed script.

Portability and packaging

The Rainbow edition includes 1 Tamagotchi on a chain, making it easy to attach to a bag or backpack for on-the-go companionship. A CR2032 battery is included so you can start playing right away, and the compact form fits neatly into everyday life.

Who it’s for

  • Retro-tech enthusiasts seeking a refreshed take on a classic toy.
  • Youth and collectors ages 8 and up who want a pocket-friendly digital pet.
  • Anyone who enjoys short, caring routines with a touch of game-like unpredictability.

Note: This description highlights features and use cases as possibilities for enjoyment. Experiences may vary based on individual play patterns and preferences.
