Overview

The Contemptor Dreadnought from Warhammer Horus Heresy is a multipart plastic kit designed to become a commanding centerpiece on the tabletop. With a wealth of armaments and cosmetic options, you can tailor the model to reflect your preferred battle role and pose, bringing a dynamic presence to your army.

What’s in the box

This kit is built from 164 plastic components and includes a Citadel 60mm round base, plus a Legiones Astartes Vehicle Transfer Sheet featuring 44 optional markings and icons for Sons of Horus and Imperial Fists. The miniature arrives unpainted and requires assembly; we recommend Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel paints to bring the model to life.

• Loadout flexibility: eight distinct ranged weapons can mount on either arm, offering options like conversion beam cannons, gravis autocannons, gravis bolt cannons, gravis lascannons, gravis melta cannons, gravis plasma cannons, Kheres assault cannons, and volkite dual-culverins.
• Close combat versatility: two melee fists can be built as either Gravis power fists or Gravis chainfists, with an in-built weapon choice such as a combi-bolter, graviton gun, heavy flamer, meltagun, or plasma blaster.
• Cosmetic variety: two heads, four different carapace designs, and options for claws or fingers on the power fists, plus scrollwork and tilting shield accessories.

Poseability and display

• The model’s joints, head, and fist digits are set up for a wide range of poses, so no two Contemptors look identical on the tabletop.
• Optional hull-mounted havoc launcher or head-mounted helical targeting array add extra display and loadout variety.
• Designed with hobbyists in mind—great for painting, posing, and showcasing on the shelf or during games.

Hobby tips and compatibility

As a sizeable kit, it makes a strong focal point for a Legion or Battle Group. Pair it with standard Citadel paints and the transfer sheet to apply Legion-specific markings. A steady hand and patience during assembly will help you achieve crisp lines and clean joins.
