What makes Toy Battle compelling

On your turn, you either draw two toy troops or place a single troop on the board. When placing, you can choose an empty base, a base you control, or a rival base your troop outmatches, as long as there is a continuous path back to your own headquarters through bases you occupy. This rule creates a dynamic web of connections, inviting you to plan ahead and read your opponent’s moves.

Claiming medals is central to victory. If your occupied bases form a continuous region that encircles an area, you gain the medals inside it. The game ends when a player reaches the opponent’s headquarters or achieves the required number of medals for the current board setup. If a player cannot draw or place a troop, the match ends and the player with more medals wins.
